I didn't want to answer this question. Because there was only one answer.

Suddenly, there was a crash. We looked up and saw clouds of black smoke. The giants were smashing the towers again. "It has begun," said Simon.

"Listen, Simon," I said. "This flash drive can read any code. And with it, you can even change the code, even if you've never programmed before. I'll give it to you."

Simon took the USB stick and put it in his pocket, but he said nothing.

"We need to fix your car, Avetik. And quickly send you back home. This place is not for you."

"But what about you?" I asked. I understood the question was pointless, but for some reason, I really wanted to ask it.

"My place is here, and only here. I was probably fated by God to suffer my whole life and look after these stupid creatures."

"God, huh?"

We were both silent.

Two days later, we finally got the ship repaired. I was ready to fly.

"I hope you make the right choice,” I said, saying goodbye.

"I made the right choice a long time ago. It makes no sense to change my mind."

"People change. And there’s nothing wrong with that,” I said.

"No. That's the thing. People are always the same. Only the shell changes. What is inside is not subject to change. But come on, it doesn't matter,” he said. "Have a good trip."

"Thanks for the help."

He hugged me tightly. It lasted a couple of seconds, and I decided to say one last thing: "But no matter what, be sure to think. I feel sorry for them."

"Okay, okay," he said and let me go. There was a strange, fatherly smile on his face. "Have a nice trip. Hopefully, your next destination will be better than this one,” he said, laughing.

"Hahaha, it wasn't that bad,” I said and sat down at the controls. "Goodbye!"

"Goodbye!" he said and waved his hand.

It took only a couple of seconds before I was once again in the black, immense ocean of space. I closed my eyes to feel the radiance of the stars for which my heart so yearned. Suddenly, I felt something uncomfortable in my back pocket. I turned on my side and took it out.

"It seems that the god of this world, who once forgot about his curse, has finally lost faith in people," I said.

My trusty golden flash drive was shining in my hand.
